Exchange Quilt: Trial Layout

I am putting together a quilt using fabrics from my stash for a Christmas gift exchange at my mother-in-law's house. The colours need to appeal to men and women, but who am I kidding? Men don't want quilts (at least not ones like these), and so this quilt will just have to be chosen by a woman. Tough luck.

Here is the fabric I chose:

And here is the layout I am using:

I am then doing a border around the blocks. I also think I have chosen the backing- a chocolate brown flannelette that has some turquoise in it with some flowers. I think it will be a cozy lap quilt. I hope I can get it done in time!

  2. To answer your question, Michelle, the fabric is:
Sonora - Butterfly Silhouette Turquoise, Sonora - Mitzi Leaf Chocolate, Sonora - Mitzi Leaf Teal, Sonora - Scroll Chocolate, Sonora - Serena Turquoise and Lizzy House- Pearl Bracelet in Chocolate. I'm not entirely sure what the large turquoise floral print is because I bought it ages ago (and have used it many times since).
