Ice Cream Truck: A Finished Quilt

A friend at work just had a new baby. His wife gave birth to a little girl a couple of weeks ago, and they didn't know the sex of the baby. When I found out he had had a girl I went to work in my stash and put together a bright, playful ice cream quilt for Baby E.

Here is Ice Cream Truck:
Delicious turquoise Lizzy House jewels for the binding

On a simple patchwork design this quilting looks awesome. I would definitely do it again.

The back is pieced from solids on the front and some blue sprinkle fabric and the last of my ice cream fabric (Ann Kelle).

The grid lines from the quilting look so good on the solids on the back.
A fun, bright, cheery quilt for a new baby girl, Ice Cream Truck is meant to feel summery...just like when you hear the music playing from around the corner when you are at the park, and you run to the truck to get your chocolate and vanilla soft serve!

  1. Looks good! And just in time to leave you some free time to sew up a storm for yourself over the March Break!
